Our Firm’s Corporate Membership with Rotary

We are proud Corporate Members of Rotary, joining a global network of professionals committed to solving community problems and creating lasting change.

Putting CSR into Action

For our firm, Corporate Membership is the ideal way to translate our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ideas into action. This partnership allows our team to work closely with our local Rotary club, focusing on projects that directly benefit our community while remaining connected to a broader global outlook.

Accountants as “People of Action”

Rotary members are known as “People of Action”—problem solvers who see possibilities where others see obstacles. As accountants, we value the opportunity to tap into our professional skills, expertise, and knowledge to discover solutions for local and international challenges. This involvement allows our staff to:

  • Develop Leadership Skills: Team members can take on leadership roles and learn from others in areas like project planning, communications, and service delivery.
  • Enhance Professional Networking: Rotary was originally founded as a business networking group, and making these connections continues to enhance our professional lives today.
  • Build Global Understanding: Through events like the international Convention, our team can be inspired by world-class speakers and develop a broader understanding of global issues.

A Legacy of Impact

By joining Rotary, we become part of a network of 1.2 million members across more than 200 countries. We support Rotary’s mission to tackle critical humanitarian needs in seven key areas:

  1. Promoting Peace
  1. Fighting Disease (including the nearly complete eradication of polio)
  1. Providing Clean Water
  1. Supporting Education
  1. Saving Mothers and Children
  1. Growing Local Economies
  1. Protecting the Environment

Financial Accountability You Can Trust

As financial professionals, we are impressed by the efficiency of The Rotary Foundation. It is globally recognised for its financial transparency and accountability, consistently earning a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Approximately 91% to 92% of donations go directly toward service projects and programmes. Over the last century, the Foundation has spent $5 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects worldwide.

We are proud to stand alongside 32,000 Rotary members in Great Britain and Ireland who volunteer their time and talents to make the world a better place.

Brewing Hope-Our Macmillan Coffee Morning

We are proud to host Macmillan Coffee Morning, bringing people together to raise vital funds for the millions of people currently living with cancer.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides a lifeline for people across the UK, offering physical, emotional, and financial help to those affected by a diagnosis. Today, there are almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, and your contributions help Macmillan do “whatever it takes” to ensure everyone gets the best possible care.

The Coffee Morning tradition started in 1990 as a small gathering where guests donated the cost of their drink to the charity. It was so effective that it became a national event the following year.

The office will be decorated with bunting and balloons, and we are planning a delicious spread. Expect a variety of bakes, from classic sweet treats to scrumptious nibbles.

We look forward to seeing you there and raising a mug for a great cause!

Need Support? If you or someone you care about is living with cancer, Macmillan is there to listen. You can contact the Macmillan Support Line for free, confidential support at 0808 808 00 00 from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

Proudly Sponsoring the Aylsham Christmas Tree Festival

We were delighted to sponsor the spectacular Christmas Tree Festival at Aylsham Parish Church, an event supporting over fifty local, national, and international charities.

As sponsors, we were proud to help towards covering the costs of this event, ensuring that more of the money raised goes directly to the festival’s chosen local charities.

Everyone was able to view the beautifully decorated trees and enjoy the refreshments available throughout the festival. It was a wonderful opportunity to support a wide range of important causes whilst celebrating the start of the festive period with the Aylsham community.

Proud Sponsors of East Tuddenham U8 Lions

We are thrilled to sponsor the East Tuddenham Under 8’s Lions, a local team where our colleague’s son plays, supporting grassroots football and community spirit.

East Tuddenham Youth FC was established just last September and has quickly grown to include three teams and a mini-kickers programme, with over 20 local children participating. The club was founded with the goal of helping children develop discipline, resilience, and cooperation through the game.

Our sponsorship helps provide essential equipment, kit, and training resources for the young athletes. We are proud to join other local organisations in ensuring these players have a safe, well-maintained environment to learn and grow

The Aylsham Beer and Gin Festival

We are proud to support the Aylsham Round Table Beer and Gin Festival, where every penny raised goes directly back into our local community and charities.

This annual event, organized by the Aylsham Round Table, offers a fantastic selection of beer, cider, and gin, complemented by food and live music.

In the past, festival proceeds have provided iPads for care homes, supported local charities with new equipment, and helped vulnerable residents restore heating to their homes.

It an affordable way to enjoy a great weekend while making a real difference in the community. We hope to see you there to toast to Norfolk’s local charities!

Blog > Supporting Our Community: Our Donation to Aylsham Care Trust

Our Donation to Aylsham Care Trust

We were proud to support the Aylsham and District Care Trust with a £3,600 donation toward their urgent new boiler replacement project.

When the boilers at Aylsham and District Care Trust (ACT) failed during the freezing temperatures at the start of the new year, the charity was faced with a daunting £15,000 bill for replacements. As an Aylsham-based firm that looks after ACT’s accounts, we felt it was only right to step in and help where we could. While we may not be heating engineers, we were delighted to contribute £3,600 to help get their facilities back on track.

ACT provides essential services to our community, including:

  • Adult Day Care and Support at Home
  • The Orange Blossom Café and Lunch Clubs
  • Volunteer Car Schemes and Meal Deliveries

These services are vital for helping local residents live independently and feel connected. Our owner, Liam McHugh, noted that without donations, such an unexpected expense takes money away from these core services. ACT has initially replaced its two old boilers with one stronger unit, but they continue to work toward a full solution.

For us, being part of Aylsham is all about community spirit—supporting one another and pitching in when it counts. We hope our contribution not only helps with the immediate costs but also highlights the incredible work ACT does every day.

If you would like to join us in supporting this cause, donations can be made through ACT’s office or their online platforms.
